Is Your Idea Worth $100,000?


Do you have an idea to improve medicine, health, and wellness? If you're a Tufts University student, fellow, resident, faculty member, full-time employee, or recent graduate, don't miss your chance to compete in the Tufts $100K New Ventures Competition.  

A sample application is available online. Submissions are due by Tuesday, January 26 and finalists will be announced in late February. Finalists will be required to submit a business plan.

New CITI Training Modules for Community-Engaged Research


Are you designing, conducting, or reviewing community-engaged research (CEnR)? The Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) at the University of Miami and the Harvard Catalyst Community Engaged Regulatory Subcommittee offer three new CITI training modules to help learners understand the approach, considerations, and ethics of participation in research partnerships and collaborations with communities:
  • Introduction to Community-Engaged Research
  • Introduction to Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR)
  • Ethical and Practical Considerations in Community-Engaged Research

Find out how your approach to the world influences your motivation, leadership, and team participation at Knowing Yourself and Knowing Others: Implications for Leadership and Team Participation, Friday, January 15, 3:00-5:00PM, Sackler 114 (145 Harrison Avenue, Boston). A live webcast will also be available.

Led by Laurel K. Leslie, MD, MPH, this interactive and fun workshop was previously offered in the Women in Medicine/Science Lecture Series and as part of the Community Service Learning Series for medical students. All are welcome. Please register today.
