Dear Partners, Associates and friends of GRLI

It is my pleasure and privilege to share the latest issue of Global Responsibility magazine, two event and initiative invites, as well as a short message on behalf of the GRLI Support Centre with you.
Out now: Global Responsibility No. 13

In the latest issue of our magazine you will meet GRLI Associates that are catalysts in their own right including Karen Blakeley (University of Winchester), Pierre Tapie (Paxter), Mary Watson (The New School) and Carol Adams (Durham University).

In keeping with this theme Asher Alkoby (Ted Rogers School of Management) reflects on Whole Person Learning and Teaching, whilst Mark Reno and his colleagues at Ivey Business School highlights the relevance of Character in the context of developing Responsible Leadership. Two organisations with a strong social purpose are featured in this issue including EUCLID University and Kemmy Business School (Ireland). Kemmy will also host the 2016 GRLI AGM so mark you calendars if you have not done so yet!

Liliana Petrella and Dagna Rupieta presents an overview of the highlights from 2015 and shares plans for developing a GRLI community timeline. The Aim2Flourish and Workplace of Tomorrow initiatives also feature in this issue, along with the transcript of Julia Christensen Hughes’s inspiring message delivered to the UN General Assembly in June.

Business Schools and Peace Building

How could business schools play a role in peace-building? One of our Associates, Catrin FrÓ§hlich, is Programme Manager at PeaceNexus and interested to hear from Partners and Associates developing courses related to conflict prevention and management, social risk management and stakeholder relations or peace-building.

Feel free to contact the GRLI Support Centre at info@grli.org if you would like to find out more and we will connect you with Catrin.
25 January: Global Responsibility Breakfast at EFMD Deans & Directors Conference

Registered attendees of the 2016 EFMD Conference for Deans & Directors General are invited to a breakfast event hosted by the Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative (GRLI) in partnership with United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and Global Business Schools Network (GBSN).

This interactive session will explore the role of business schools in a changing global environment and seek to address the question: â€œWhat is the next frontier for transformative management education?”

On behalf of the Support Centre I would like to convey a heartfelt and personal "Thank You" to our Partners, Members, Associates and friends.  Your continued and considerate care over and stewardship of the GRLI's vision, work and independence is vitally important.

We thank you sincerely for working alongside the GRLI during 2015 and applaud you for bringing business, education and society closer to globally responsible progress through your individual and collective efforts.
