Motion to Intervene deadline Jan. 6, 2016
Two How-To Workshops Scheduled for Northfield

In a joint effort, leaders from StopNED, PLAN-NE, No Fracked Gas in Mass and Hilltown Community Rights pulled together training materials and led a trail workshop on How to File a Motion to Intervene. The refined instructions and samples are now available HERE , and groups are starting to schedule workshops in their areas. Feel free to use these materials for your local group.

Anyone and everyone can intervene. Even if you're not in a pipeline-affected town, all of the Northeast would be impacted by the construction of the Northeast Energy Direct pipeline - higher energy prices when gas hits the import market, continued reliance on fossil fuels and possible tariffs for rate-payers in New England affect the broader regional community. See the instructional information to get ideas and learn how to complete this free and fairly easy process.

Remember - the filing deadline is January 6!

Workshops currently scheduled will be in Northampton and Amherst, MA:
How to Intervene Workshop. There will be a short (15 minute) presentation on why and how to intervene with FERC, followed by a workshop where we can all go through the process on our own. Those of us who have already filed will be available to answer questions. Please bring a laptop or tablet if you can.

All the files are accessible on THIS PAGE. We've cataloged descriptions for most of the files (there are over 21,000 pages, so it will still be a while before we finish, but everything has a descriptive title). Some of the files are thousands of pages and/or have large map pages, so give them a few minutes to load.

Year-End Giving?

Help No Fracked Gas in Mass stay in the fight!

With Kinder Morgan's gargantuan 21,000 page application submitted to FERC, there is lots more information to share with local communities. We're just starting a new year (or possibly longer) of research and guidance to help keep everyone informed and participating in the fight. This requires substantial ongoing operating funds to keep us working at optimal effectiveness.
