Its the end of the year, Christmas is just around the corner and I hope you've had a great 2015.

NEW BOOK
This month sees the launch of my new book - Places of Pilgrimage - which is the culmination of two year's work: travelling, drawing, painting, printmaking and writing.

Places of Pilgrimage is a record of my travels , as I've sought out the spirit of place of over seventy locations around Britain. In words and paintings, I explore the personality of these sites explaining, for example, what I feel on the spot where Saint Cuthbert's coffin rooted itself to the earth, or the visions conjured up on crossing the sands to Holy Island. Some places, which have already been interpreted by people such as A. E. Houseman, Vaughn Williams and Stanley Spencer, are presented afresh. Some are very personal choices: the landscapes painted by Paul Nash (who grew up in the same area as myself); the village where Laurie Lee wrote Cider with Rosie; the boathouse where Dylan Thomas composed Under Milk Wood, and the industrial landscape which inspired L. S. Lowry. Some are traditional pilgrimage sites, like Lindisfarne, Durham and Canterbury; some are places which have other holds over the visitor - the stones of Avebury, the battlefield of Culloden, the tree where Robin Hood assembled his merry men.

For a SIGNED copy:  £12.99 + £3 P&P  from Masham Gallery.

NEW PRINTS:
There are two new giclee prints available from this month:
Buttertubs Pass - the iconic road from Swaledale to Wensleydale, part of the Tour de France route and home to the vertical limestone caverns from which the pass takes its name. It's an edition of 50 copies, and is available on watercolour paper in a 16" x 12" mount.
£59 from Masham Gallery. To order a copy CLICK HERE.

The second print is of a group of traditional Swaledale Barns near Gunnerside in Swaledale. These barns are found throughout the Dales and evolved from the farming systems of the original Norse settlers. Again an edition of 50 copies, and is available on watercolour paper in a 12" x 10" mount. £49 from Masham Gallery.
