December 2015 Newsletter - National Marine Educators Association

December 2015 headerDear NMEA members,

When you need lesson plans or photos, who do you turn to in your professional network?

In the 19 years that I’ve been a member of the National Marine Educators Association, my international network of NMEA colleagues has happily provided me with those lesson plans, photos or anything else I needed. They’ve also sent along craft activities for family-friendly events, and even provided free tickets to their facilities when I travel to their part of the world.  I’ve been just as happy to share whatever resources one of you might request from me to help make your job a bit easier.

Now I reach out again for your assistance, this time for NMEA’s Annual Appeal. Please consider making an end-of-the-year gift to support the work of this organization. It’s as simple as visiting this link on our website

NMEA exists to help its members spread the word about marine education, but we cannot do it without you. Let's support each other's work, and the great work being done by NMEA as an organization, by making a gift to the NMEA Annual Appeal. Visit our site to make your donation to NMEA. Your gift is tax-deductible.

Thank you for all that you've done in 2015 to connect students to their aquatic environments, to make resource users more ocean literate and to promote marine education in your publications, facilities, and neighborhoods. Let's make a 2016 a productive and innovative year for NMEA. It's a good thing we love our work. It's never done.

Best Regards, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to all!

Robert C Rocha Jr.
NMEA President 2015-2016
