Merry Christmas and happy travels!

Lance and I are leaving in the next couple hours for our the Discipleship Training School's outreach to Montenegro and Albania! This is an exciting time for our students and for us as staff!

Our 9 students have finished their 12 weeks of lectures and are about to embark on their practicum to Montenegro and Albania! They will be in Montenegro for 4 weeks and Albania for 3 weeks.

Lance and I will be driving with five Brits, two of which are children. The rest of the team will be flying via Istanbul and Tirana. We will just barely be back together in time for Christmas but Montenegro is Orthodox so they will be celebrating Christmas January 7th same as in Ukraine.

We are uncertain of all that we will be doing. We have a couple contacts in Montenegro but there is no Youth With A Mission location in Montenegro. No one from Ternopil has been to Montenegro before but we are confident that God will show us what to do in this new location!

-Safety as we travel by van and by plane
-Readiness to jump into ministry when we arrive
-Alert to what the Holy Spirit is calling us to do
-Flexibility and joy in every situation
-UNITY in our team!!
-Clear communication within the team and with those we are working with
-Wisdom in leading the team
-This time will be fruitful and a learning experience for everyone

Keep Montenegro and Albania in your prayers!

Why did we chose Montenegro and Albania?

Earlier this year, in January, we prayed and asked God to help us chose a nation to focus on. This nation would be a place that we would continue to be in relationship with, we would want to send teams to and to support however we could. This would not be a simple decision!

Out of that prayer time we had a list of 30 or so nations which have been cut down to about five now. Montenegro and Albania are both still on that list. We felt for sure that God wanted our location to focus on Europe, there is a huge need for workers in Europe. We are wanting to go to both countries and see what God may have for us there for the future. We would like to make connections and so what the needs are.

Montenegro in particular is Orthodox and Muslim and has very few evangelical churches. Both countries were Communist in the past and are still struggling with corruption. Montenegro and Albania are popular vacation spots in the summer and attract a number of tourist each year. There are lots of opportunities for ministry!
