Do I Really Need to Review My Insurance?

<<First Name>>,

The new year is off to a very fast start.  To quote Ferris Bueller, "Life moves pretty fast.  If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."  This is a great time to slow down and appreciate the things we have in life.  It is also a good time to review a number of items in your life: insurance being one of them.  You should make it a habit to review your insurance coverage at least once every two years.
Life happens and sometimes we forget to keep up with our insurance.  An obvious time is when you get married or have your first baby.  Those are major life events when you should look at your coverage.  Did you also remodel your house or make any upgrades?  Did you inherit something from a loved one?  Have you reviewed your life insurance coverage to make sure you have enough for your 2nd, 3rd or 4th baby?
This is not a sales pitch to get you to buy more insurance.  For those of you that know me well, I do not believe in just selling something.  It has to make sense in order to change your coverage.  Please contact me to set up a review of your policies.  I know this is a hassle, but it is worth it.  You do not know what you are missing until you actually need it.  So let's look at your coverage, together, to make sure you are not missing something before your baby grows up and starts driving or you have a fender bender and realize you are underinsured.  Remember, I am here to help you be smarter about your insurance.

My wife, Elizabeth, is a Mom, an amazing wife and an incredible chef. She trained at the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. She shares a helpful tip below.

Super bowl Sunday is a just a week away.  Here is a great recipe for you and your friends to enjoy.

Chili Cream Cheese Dip
Ingredients:
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages soft cream cheese
  • 15 ounces Hormel chili without beans
  • 3 tablespoons your favorite hot sauce (we use Crystal Hot sauce)
  • 2 cups of finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Directions:

  1. Pre-heat oven to about 350 degrees.
  2. In a large rectangular glass baking dish press cream cheese evenly into the bottom of the dish.
  3. Empty a can of your favorite Chili and smooth out until you have an even layer on top of the cream cheese.
  4. Sprinkle Crystal Hot Sauce to taste (about 2 to 3 tablespoons).
  5. Cover top of chili/hot sauce completely with shredded cheese.
  6. Bake for about 15 minutes or until heated through and shredded cheese is completely melted.
  7. Serve warm with tortilla chips.
I hope you enjoy the dip, game and commercials!
