Happy New Year!

I'm sure you're all feeling festively plump and seriously considering forking out for that gym membership you cancelled last march because you weren't using it enough...no? Only me then!
Anyway,
I try to only send one email a month because I know what it's like to get a mailbox full of circular emails. You sit there and think, did I even sign up for this?!  For this very reason I put handy links at the top here so if you're time limited you can see what's in the email and just click the link through to read the bit that matters to you.

I won't hold you up any more. If you'd like to chat please get in touch!
January email serving suggestion: Small raw potato, peeled. Mini lettuce leaf. Room temperature water.

Team Handbook

We have a new online resource and file sharing system. It includes a directory, knowledge base, file sharing system and a message board.   This system has massive potential and the more people are using it the better. We're just launching it and if you'd like to have access get in touch and we'll sort you out with a username and password.

Youth Council

I'm looking for a team of young people that could represent the whole breadth of diversity in the church and the communities of Sussex at Diocesan Synod

Do you know any young people aged 11-15 that would be interested in having some influence on the influencers in the diocese or would like more information on what this is likely to look like please get in touch. dan.jenkins@chichester.anglican.org

Commitment for anyone that wanted to be involved would only be one evening every 2-3 months starting in January preparing for May Synod.

Kindle is a FREE monthly youth event run by Street360 the 1st Saturday of each month!

Location:

Eim Church, Trinity Centre, The Mardens, Crawley. RH11 0AQ

Children's and Youth Camps have been running in the shadow of the south Downs at Dalesdown for the last 20 years.  As a Youth worker, we’d love to show you how Dalesdown Camps will work for you. Check out our vision and plans for 2016. Take a look around the website and call us on 01403 710712 to talk about how you and your group can get involved.  www.dalesdowncamps.org.uk/the-vision/

May Camp - Less than a month left to get Early Bird tickets!

For the first time ever you can now book online via the website. It's dead easy and it's in two stages.

Stage one: Visit the online booking page
Book in the number of young people you want to bring in your group and pay online.

Stage two: Receive an email with a link to create your group and start registering young people's details.

If you're a new group then use the new group ticket option on the booking form to get a 10% discount!

If you get stuck contact Dan on 07760 664381 or email dan.jenkins@chichester.anglican.org

Sponsor a Young Person

It costs more to run May Camp than we collect in ticket sales. We don't want to prevent young people from being able to access this fantastic event so we're asking if you will sponsor a young person.

For more information and to sponsor a young person visit youth.chichester.anglican.org/sponsor

Blog

If you've not yet seen we have a new blog on the youth and children's website. I have been asking fellow youth and children's workers to make contributions to this and post new content every week. You can check out the blog here: http://youth.chichester.anglican.org/blog/

If you would like to make a contribution please get in touch, I'd love to be able to feature more local youth workers on the blog!

World Youth Day

In July 2016, we’re going to be taking a group of 18-30s from the Diocese of Chichester to an amazing international youth festival in Poland, with 10,000 people from 40 different countries. There’ll be keynote speakers (including our very own Archbishop Justin), loads of sports, artistic activities, times of praise and worship … A fantastic opportunity to share fellowship with young Christians from all over the world, and to deepen your own faith. Plus afterwards, if you want, you can stay on for an extra week in Krakow and meet the Pope! Check out the Promotional video below and take a look at the Festival web site www.paradiseinthecity.com/en/
Contact Dan Jenkins if you’re interested in finding out more.
