Memorial conference celebrates life work of Masahiko Aoki A conference that honored the life and scholarly contributions of Masahiko Aoki was held in early December. Eleven experts gave talks on Aoki's fields of research including economic theory, corporate governance and East Asian economies.
On China's two-child policy In October, China announced plans to discontinue its "one-child policy." The new policy is a step forward, but China's population aging and gender imbalance will create challenges for decades, according to health economist Karen Eggleston.
