The Season of Christmas continues After worship Sunday, join your church family for fellowship and donut holes!
Thank you to all who helped with this year’s Christmas Boxes. With your generous donations, time and energy we were able to provide boxes for 93 families. 50 families received a full Adopt-A-Family box with Christmas dinner, additional food, paper products and gifts for the family. Another 40 families received Christmas dinner and gifts from Clackamas Toy and Joy.
There’s still time to donate to MPC for this tax year! Contributions postmarked or received in the office before Jan. 1 will count towards the 2015 tax year. If you need to catch up on your pledge or would like to make an additional donation to the church, the end of the year is a perfect time to do it.
Come celebrate Epiphany Jan. 3rd with Taizé-style worship, Communion, and an opportunity to set positive intentions for the new year. Join us after worship for the De-Greening as we pack away the Christmas decorations for another year.
A Memorial Service for Ted Zetterberg will be held Saturday, Jan. 9 at 1 p.m.
Chili Cook-off Jan. 17th Save the date and prepare your spices! Come for a time of good food, and warm fellowship. All proceeds will fund youth mission. Contact Doug Vitro if you want to join the competition, youth@milwaukiepres.org.
12-Steps for Believers Franciscan Spiritual Center is offering a series based on The 12 Steps: A Way Out (a spiritual process for healing) on Wednesdays 2-4 p.m., starting January 13. Whether you are in recovery or are someone affected by family members and friends who are addicts, you will benefit from this group. Led by Eileen Parfrey. francisspctr.com
Inclement Weather Plan Please do not risk life and limb to come to church! On school days, MPC follows the North Clackamas School District: if schools are closed, so is the church office, and church events are cancelled. On weekends, we follow TriMet: if roads are bad enough for Milwaukie buses to be on snow routes, church will be cancelled. Check Facebook and email for updates.
