Dear Friends in the Children's Nonfiction World,
As we kick off 2016, we want to share with you our excitement about the 21st Century Children’s Nonfiction Conference to be held the weekend of June 10-12 at Iona College in New Rochelle, New York. We are planning our 4th annual gathering and are very proud that so many of you have benefited from attending the past conferences. You have shared with us that this is the best opportunity for people in our field to make connections, exchange ideas, learn about new technology and developments, and explore new business models.
As we hoped, the conference has become a unique meeting place for writers, editors, illustrators, digital developers, publishing staff, agents, educators, and librarians. So many of you have been able to make new connections with people you may not have otherwise met, and were “sparked†to look at your work in new ways. We are very gratified.
We’ve found a great home for the 2016 conference at Iona College in New Rochelle, New York. It is a beautiful campus, conveniently located to New York City, airports, trains, and highways. Many of our activities will be held in the new, magnificent Ryan Library with its beautiful auditorium and abundance of areas to meet informally.
There’s no better place to meet people from all parts of the children's nonfiction world. There will be plenty of time to connect -- at Meals, Workshops, Open Table Conversations, and 1-to-1 Consultations.
