Here are just a few highlights from our incredible 25th anniversary year.
Beyond Rugby Bermuda Expands into Berkeley Institute
Due to a generous donation from Axis Capital Holdings Ltd., the Beyond Rugby Bermuda Programme was able to expand into Berkeley Institute.
Beyond Rugby is a collaboration we have with the Bermuda Rugby Football Union that helps young people to develop good character and succeed in school while having fun and staying fit. The group offers a full rugby programme, a meal and transportation home after practice, along with personal social support and case management for youth.
2015 Data & Outcomes
In 2015:
425 individuals were served through our Training & Advocacy Services
226 children participated in our Community Programmes
435 children and families were supported through our Counselling Services
We host Children Come First Telethon
To commemorate our 25th anniversary, we hosted a Children Come First Telethon on November 18 at City Hall. The goal for this event was to raise significant funds, educate the community about our vital services and to celebrate 25 years of success with Bermuda’s children and families.
