Brian Ewert, LPS Superintendent, presented at the Euclid PTO meeting this morning. He presented a PowerPoint to the group about the state of funding in Colorado. I know many of you were busy at work and were unable to make it to the meeting. I would like to pass on the
link to his presentation so that you may be informed as well. Brian has a very clear nonpartisan message about how Colorado is in a fiscal crisis. The presentation is filled with facts alone about how our state operates and where we are headed in the future. The problem is not isolated to K-12 Education funding. The fiscal problem extends to higher education, roads and bridges, healthcare, corrections, etc. The fix isn't going to come from just the Republicans or the Democrats. It's going to come from both parties and all those in between. The information in the presentation is quite a lot to take in. I encourage you to go through it. Brian will be presenting this same PowerPoint at other schools in the future. Please reach out to
his office to find out where and when. You are very welcome to attend a different presentation. In fact, I encourage you to due so.
I will continue to keep you up to date in the months to come about what is going on down at the Capitol. This is going to take all of us speaking out and working together. I will be informing you of ways in which you may be actively or passively involved. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me. If I don't know the answer, I will find out who best can help you.
Below, are some links to grassroots nonpartisan organizations that are informing and activating Coloradans. I urge you to stay informed.
