We are pleased to share Ann Foundation’s accomplishments where we continue to educate & empower disadvantaged children around the globe. This year we initiated four new projects. Ann Foundation plays a large role in educating the disadvantaged children around the globe.
Screening Camp for the hearing impaired children in Kolkata
Sadly, many of the disadvantaged children who live in rural areas of Kolkata are not able to take part in screening programs for the hearing impaired and cannot afford hearing aids. As a result, they do not attend school and fail to obtain an education.
This September, I traveled with my colleague Bud Watson conducted a five day screening camp in Kolkata. During those five days, 165 children were screened.
Children who have been screened will be tested and those needing hearing aids will be fitted within the next few weeks. This is our first Hearing Health Care project in Kolkata, and with your help it will be ongoing to provide hearing assistance to as many children as possible.
