PHS would like to thank you for supporting us this past year. It has been a particularly busy one for us, as we have continued to grow our business in many ways. Significant highlights include; welcoming four new hydrographic surveyors, securing the tender for complete hydrographic surveying services in WA Pilbara ports, establishing an operational office in the Pilbara, as well as expanding our presence at events and conferences. See more...
We are most grateful for your encouragement. As we continue to build a stronger partnership together, we recognise that your support and the continued trust you place in us is the foundation of our success. Our philosophy has always been centred on providing you with on-time, cost-effective, and high-quality hydrographic surveying and positioning services. We look forward to continuing our service to you in 2016.
From the team at PHS we wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and joyful New Year!

Time to reflect...
As we reflect on this year’s efforts, we hope you will take an opportunity to look back on your accomplishments in 2015, and finalise your goals for 2016.
In June, PHS hosted our first World Hydrographic Day event with support from HydroSurvey, FugroLADS and SSSI. The day consisted of high-quality presentations and networking in a relaxed atmosphere. The event attracted over fifty people representing hydrographic surveying service companies, equipment/software suppliers, and university/tafe students. Stay tuned as we make plans for a 2016 event!
In September, we were the successful tenderer for the Pilbara Ports Authority (PPA) complete hydrographic survey services contract. PHS have assisted PPA in the past providing hydrographic surveying, tidal studies and quality control services. The services comprise of high-resolution multibeam surveys for dredging and navigational safety, along with the ongoing monitoring of their tidal and metocean infrastructure. Our continued service has led to a better understanding of the port in relation to available depths and tide observations, ultimately leading to a greater port capacity whilst improving safety for visiting draft restricted vessels.

Plans for the new year...
2016 promises to be another exciting year for PHS, as we have recently set up an operational office in the Pilbara which will be manned all year round.
PHS is committed to achieving excellence by ensuring our staff development and training is at the leading edge. As such, we will be launching our internal professional development program in support of our philosophy of encouraging employees to gain hydrographic surveying certification. The modules we have included encompass the current requirements of FIG/IHO/ICA Publication S-5 Standards of Competence for Hydrographic Surveyors.

Please be advised PHS offices will be closed for Christmas from 5pm Wednesday 23 December and will re-open on Monday 4 January.
