TANZANIA PROGRAM
The Meserani Mission Center recently celebrated another graduating class from two-year preschool program. Twenty-five of the children you have supported for the past two years will have a leg up moving forward in their academic journey. With the average family in Tanzania living on merely $370 a year and school fees that can top $500 per year, your support allows these students to attend school and lay the foundation to escape the shackles of poverty. But your support does so much more. On top of receiving a quality education, the children at Meserani also receive a nourishing meal each day.
This graduation wasn’t just a day of celebration for these children and their families, nor was it just another accomplishment for the HSICF or the Meserani Mission Center, but it was a small victory for all of humanity. No mother should have to choose between feeding her children or sending them to school. Access to education is an undeniable right whether you were born in the comfort of the United States or the desolate deserts of Tanzania. With your continued support we can make further strides in ensuring the children of Meserani and others like them around the world are no longer discarded but instead get the tools they need to thrive.
With one in three families living on less than $1 a day, many less fortunate children in Tanzania are forced to go to bed with the pain of an empty stomach. Your contribution gives the children access to medical treatment that otherwise would be too expensive or too far away to travel by foot. One in five children in Tanzania who are born safely will die before their 5th birthday, mainly from preventable diseases caused by malnutrition. Your support helps save lives everyday and our children are playing, smiling and laughing because of your generosity.
