An update on Chris' mum...

Chris has provided another update on his mum below.

Dear Church

Happy New Year to you all. 2016 is going to be a great year for us as a church.

I just wanted to give a quick update on my Mum.

It was great for us all to see Mum over Christmas; she recognised the children and had small conversation with them. It really was great to see the incredible progress she had made.

Mum is know off the high dependency unit and is in a normal ward; which again shows the great progress she has made. She has had the occasional cup of tea and yogurt too.

I did get the news that yesterday was not a great day though. Mum was very confused and didn't make any sense which was a surprise for my family. She is having various tests to see what is wrong as clearly something is. I will keep you posted and appreciate the ongoing support.

God bless, Chris.
Haverhill Food Bank. This week we have a message from John Pearson:

"There are no specific food shortages at the moment.

However, REACH continues to see numbers of people who have been homeless and are now being housed and is always in need of  the items required to set them up in their new homes these include single & double duvets, sheets, duvet covers, pillows, and pots & pans.

REACH also operates a furniture bank which reallocates essential items such as beds, mattresses, wardrobes and chests of drawers, tables and chairs. It can also reallocate some working electrical items such as microwaves and fridges/freezers.

There is no charge for collection, which can be arranged by contacting REACH direct on 01440 268003 from 2pm to 5pm weekdays or John or Linda Pearson on 01223 892197."
