16th Annual Galactic 9-Pin Results

He needed a 300 game to finish off qualifying just to make the cut and then never looked back as #30 seeded Josh Behr defeated #2 seeded Ryan Dana 296-291 to win the 16th anual Galactic 9-Pin held at Odyssey Fun Center on December 30th.

In the semi-final matches, Josh defeated Jeff Shircel  while Ryan defeated Kyle Stowers.

The qualifying rounds featured twelve 300 games rolled by: Steve Bartels, Ryan Dana (2), Jeff Shircel (2), Brock Rammer (2), Jeremy Tock, Scott Tippel, Paul Gloede, Josh Behr, Trent Schroeder (a legitimate 299 game), and John Pelko.

Following the 9-pin, a new leader emerged in the Roto Grip Bowler of the Year points race.  Ben Cleveland vaulted to the lead with 183 points over previous leader Darrell Bucko. In addition, Jeff Shircel moved into second place just 8 points behind Ben.  The Roto Grip Bowler of the Year competition that will be crowned following the last event in February and pay out prizes for the top 3 spots.
