Composer Jobina Tinnemans presents a participatory version of her acclaimed piece 'Killing Time - A Knitted Soundscape' at Vogue Knitting Live! NYC '16.
Knitters, regardless of their level of knitting skill, all are invited to get involved and knit the score to this contemporary classical work in an event that takes place on Saturday 16th 11AM-3PM and Sunday 17th 11AM-2PM in the 5th Floor Demo Area at theMarriott Marquis Hotel, New York. This event is open to everyone, regardless of their level of knitting skill.
Everyone is welcome to join in or just to listen to the improvisations as the knitters fill the foyer of the Marriot Marquis with the sounds and scenery of beautiful Wales, UK. Free entry.
As part of her involvement with Vogue Knitting Live! 2016, a special performance of the acclaimed piece will be performed with a classical ensemble and with a knitting ensemble at the prestigious gala dinner on Saturday 16th.
In conjunction with this event, Tinnemans' will be releasing new material under her BLATNOVApseudonym on 11th January. New York Cat Walk will be available on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play and all major electronic music stores.

Jobina Tinnemans is a contemporary composer working in crossover disciplines of electronics, classical music and contemporary art. She incorporates analogue and digital, lo-fi and high-end techniques as well as non-musicians and ancient crafts. All possible ways to express the sounds she hears in nature, from the smallest micro-texture of rustling grasses to the dramatic sounds of the weather.
