A Bright New Year

So much gratitude going out to all who made 2015 such a special year in the life of TreeSong!

It was our second full year, and was so very, very rich. The year saw the continuation of our monthly Circle Keepers Nature Connection for kids program, several Lovingkindness Meditation classes, a Writing Workshop, the beginning of our Tales & Trails for kids and parents program, Equinox & Solstice Celebrations, several Birding classes, Cooking classes,  a collection of wonderful Concerts,  an amazing Tracking class series, a Native Plant Walk, our Second Birthday!, Summer camps, our first overnight Women's Retreat, Drawing classes, our 2nd Run Wild! Family Fun Run, and the opportunity for several private group retreats.  Our wonderful Bivouac shelter was also built this year.

2015 was quite a year! We look forward to the continuing magic and connection that nature offers, and that will be available through the amazing classes and programs that are coming your way in 2016.

MAY THIS YEAR BE OVERFLOWING WITH ABUNDANT BLESSINGS AND SWEET CONNECTION WITH ALL THAT LIFE OFFERS YOU!

And away we go with our first NW Naturalist class of the year...

Much more than just a drawing techniques class...
Learning to behold the world with fresh eyes.

Drawing in Order to See
with Andrew Pate
Sunday, January 31st, 12pm-3pm

This is not a class in how to make a “successful” drawing (whatever that is!). Beautiful drawings happen along the way to something else. That “something else” is what we’ll be reaching toward.
To draw can be a means of contemplation and exploration. We’ll spend most of the class time with pencil in hand. Weather permitting, we’ll sit outside and draw the things of the natural world around us. If the day is cold or rainy, we’ll bring some of those things– smaller ones!– inside. Either way, we’ll be looking closely at natural things, getting to know them better.

Andrew is a well-known Columbia Gorge artist who lives in Home Valley, Washington.
