Update Regarding Growing Child Newsletters.

1. On November 24th, our website was hacked and several emails were sent to our membership list by the hackers. These emails were stopped as quickly as we were aware of the problem.

Since then, the hackers have tried to send over 90 emails, all of which have been blocked.

2. Our first response was to correct the problem as quickly as possible but our programming support people were out of the country for 10 days which resulted in a delay.

3. After further review, we realized that some necessary updates should now take place. It was determined that a complete update of our website was necessary. The update is progressing on schedule .

4. Like many construction projects, it is necessary to make detours.

            This is our detour:

            A. All newsletters published by Growing Child are available to everyone
            on our membership list.

            B. Until the website is fully operational, you can view your issues of
Growing Child, Growing Parent, Growing Up and Growing Together by
            using the following links:

Click here to access issues of Growing Child
Click here to access issues of Growing Parent
Click here to access issues of Growing Up
Click here to access issues of Growing Together

The process is quite easy: select the newsletter and the issue that is appropriate for you, and either read it online or download it and print it out.  (If you are not currently a subscriber, please feel free to use the issues that you think will be of interest to you.)

5.         Grandma Says will be sent on the regular twice-a-month schedule.

To place an order or update your subscription, you can contact customer service at 1-800-927-7289 or GrowingChildinc@gmail.com

While we wish it could be easier, we need to take these steps. Like any new construction, other improvements will be incorporated resulting in better service to our parents. Thank you for your business and your patience.

WHAT TOYS AND BOOKS SHOULD I BUY FOR MY CHILD?

Out of the thousands of toys and books available today, parents have a difficult time selecting the appropriate ones. Recently we asked Ruth Roufberg, who has been evaluating children's toys for over 40 years, to make a small selection for Growing Child. We also asked Carol Gestwicki, author of Grandma Says, to recommend books.

Both toy and book collections will grow in time but only as they see items that offer real value. Take a look. Growing Child is in the business of parent education and while we are not toy or book merchants, we do recognize that quality toys and books are important to a child's growth and development.
