Ring in the New Year With Us!

We have a few more New Year’s resolutions to add to your 2016 list!

Tourism is #1

Cobb Travel & Tourism is thrilled to announce that a recent study showed that travel and tourism remains the number one economic driver in Cobb County, with the industry having a total economic impact of more than $2.75 billion and employing more than 32,000 in 2014.

The study performed by Robert Lann Consulting, LLC, showed a 7% increase over the previous year for economic impact and 5% for jobs.

Cobb County directly benefits from tourism’s remarkable economic impact as visitors spend their dollars on local accommodations, transportation, entertainment and recreation, food and retail throughout our community. Sweet!

SMITE World Champion Crowned in Cobb

The SMITE World Championship will return to the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre on January 7-10. Held by Hi-Rez Studios, the Championship will finish off the official eSports season. The best teams from North America, Europe, China, Oceania, Brazil and Latin America will travel to Cobb and compete to determine the best team in the world during Season 2. For more information on the event, visit travelcobb.org

Family Reunion Workshop

Family reunions are an unforgettable occasion. It is a time for relatives to reconnect, celebrate their heritage and gather for enjoyment, entertainment and friendship. And above all, to make new memories.

A lot of time and detail goes into planning a successful reunion. To help, Cobb Travel & Tourism is offering a free family reunion workshop as a 101-style seminar on Saturday, February 13 at the Hilton Marietta Hotel & Conference Center, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Admission is free to anyone who is planning a family reunion in Cobb County, but seating is limited to two guests per reunion.

Reservations are also required. Reserve your spot at travelcobb.org.  For more information, please contact Dianne Lovett at 678-303-2635 or dlovett@travelcobb.org for reservations.

Save the Date

Cobb Travel & Tourism and the Cobb Sports Alliance are thrilled to welcome LB3 Events and the 2016 Cobb County Classic Series in February at KSU’s Fifth Third Bank Stadium.
