CALLING VOLUNTEERS FOR NEW AD HOC COMMITTEE:

Current Clinical Issues in
Dysphagia Practice in Canada

Speech-language pathologists have long played a central role in providing dysphagia services to patients and clients at all stages of the lifespan. Over the past few years,
S-LPs have watched the professional landscape of dysphagia practice within Canada evolve.

Members have indicated that they would like SAC to devote more attention to dysphagia-related initiatives, such as producing new position statements and guidelines, increasing advocacy efforts and responding to emerging issues. We are pleased to announce that the SAC Board has established a new ad hoc committee to review and respond to professional issues related to the provision of dysphagia services by S-LPs.

For more information about our rationale for establishing this committee and a full description of its mandate, please see the terms of reference.

Join the Committee

If you are an S-LP with experience in dysphagia, we encourage you to apply to join this new ad hoc committee. Your input could help shape the future of speech-language pathology dysphagia practice across the country.
