NEW BELIEVERS ARE REACHING OUT
From the heart of Ping Mah
  
I have been involved with WHEN for several years to connect women to our Lord Jesus Christ.  As I looked back, what brings me the most joy is not how successful the ministry has been in terms of the number of events and attendees, nor even the number of women who accepted Christ through the events, the Discovery groups and Growth Groups.
 
It is the women who came to know Christ through WHEN who are now reaching out.  They are helping those within their own family and those around them to become believers through WHEN and through their churches.  It is these individuals whom WHEN ministry has been able to disciple that bring me the greatest joy. 
 
The strategy that Jesus gave to reach the world was not to “go and make converts”, it was to “go and make disciples”. (Matthew 28:19 )  When we pray for God to raise up labourers for His harvest, we may be expecting Him to send mature believers, but often we will get new believers through our WHEN ministry whom we can disciple and then send out to make other disciples in God’s harvest fields.
 
“Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”(Matthew 9:38)
NEW BELIEVERS GOD IS USING
Tina Bueno of the Filipino team says, “I value every opportunity of making Jesus famous!” So she invited Jenni and Irene to a Discovery Group to study Knowing Jesus Personally. Irene received Christ that night. The next week Jennie and Irene invited Maria and Rose. Maria received Christ that night. Two weeks later, Irene brought Cherri. Cherrie received Christ that night. In a span of 3 weeks, God used Irene, a brand new believer to help connect two more women to Jesus! Tina’s vision echoes Ping’s vision, "By God’s grace these women will continue to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, discover and use their gifts from the Holy Spirit and bear much fruit."
Ellen Chong, 3rd from the left,  who began to grow in her faith at a Discovery Group, also connected her parents to Christ and to a local church. The three of them were baptized in December 2015.
