#MYProjectisUSA 2016 Conference

A Message From the President's Office:

This is Just The Beginning. Together We Will Reach The Destination!

You Made It Possible, Thank You!

Assalamu alaikum and Happy New Year!
As we welcome 2016, we are amazed at our accomplishments in 2015. We launched this project on March 1st, 2015, and just in 9 months, we have done so much that some organizations might not have done in nine or even more years. We are truly grateful for Allah’s blessings and for your presence and support to the project. Together, we have made difference in the lives of hundreds of youth in Columbus and have engaged many more nationwide.

We are super excited in kicking off the year 2016 by opening MY Deah's store in Columbus today and by holding our first community leadership conference in MLK weekend. We can’t wait to see our grassroots movement get more organized and structured as we train a couple of hundred Muslim American youth to become mainstream community leaders.

God willing, in addition to youth development, we will continue our fight against human trafficking, drugs and gangs on both intervention and prevention sides. Through MY Deah’s stores, we will continue providing cheaper products for low-income families and to provide employment opportunities to our Muslim Youth and jobless adults.

Our Upcoming Initiatives this Year Include:

  • MY Tutoring Center to offer Free Tutoring to Muslim Refugee/New American children.
  • MY Sisters Shelter to protect and support homeless and abused Muslim sisters
  • MY Community Garden to produce cheaper organic food for low-income families
  • MY Foster Parents Initiatives to protect and empower children in need
  • MY Parents Cultural Competency Program.
    • Free ESL Classes
    • Parenting Workshops
    • Monthly Webinars
Like last year, we hope to see your continued presence and support through this year and beyond. To continue our work and to start new programs, we need your financial support to help with our rents, salaries, everyday operations and overhead costs. Please donate generously to support our Muslim American youth and families right here in our own backyards.

May you have a blessed new year.

Sincerely,
Zerqa Abid
