There will be a memorial service for the Reverend John Saeger at Abiding Grace this Saturday, January 9, at 10:30 a.m. For 60 years John served our Lord as a pastor, a hospital chaplain, an educator of pastors in training, and as a husband to Lorraine and a loving father. Please keep the Saeger family in your prayers.

New Wednesday schedule. The music rehearsal schedule is changing beginning this week: the Orchestra will now rehearse at 6:45 p.m. and the choir at 7:30 (hand bells remain at 6:00). AGLC On Ice! Time change! It's time to show off your ice skating prowess at the Panther Island Ice Rink in Fort Worth (...or you can sip hot cocoa while you watch). This Sunday, January 10, members of all ages are invited to ice skate outdoors beginning at 4:30 p.m. If 15 or more attend we'll get a group discount of $9 per person (regular price is $11). Tribute to Jim Blood Drive. The Carter BloodCare bus with be at Abiding Grace on Sunday, January 24, from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. as we honor the memory of Jim Fawks with a blood drive. Jim spoke passionately of the life-giving gift of the donation of blood. He reminded us that one pint of blood can save three lives, and that one of the lives saved had been his own. Cooking oil reminder. Please remember those in need beyond the holidays with our continuing commitment of cooking oil for the GRACE Food Pantry. Bring a 48 oz. bottle of any type of cooking oil and place it in the box near the sanctuary entry.
