All coral snakes are brightly colored with black, red and yellow rings. In non poisonous mimics, red and yellow rings are separate. Remember "red touch yellow, kills a fellow".
Pit vipers includes rattlesnakes and copperheads and venom generally causes local tissue injury, hemolys, and at worst coagulopathy. Up to 20-25% of bites are dry.
