Congratulations to Public Works Director Randy Hill on His Retirement
Randy served the City of Muscatine for 37 years and will be missed by City staff and members of the community! We are thankful for Randy's efforts on major projects in the City and we look forward to continuing the work he started on projects such as the Mississippi Drive Corridor.

100th Anniversary of Paid Fire Department Open House on Sunday, Jan. 3 from 1 to 3 p.m.

On Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, the City of Muscatine Fire Department will celebrate 100 years as a paid department. They invite the public to an open house at the Muscatine Public Safety Building, 312 E Fifth Street, from 1 to 3 p.m. on Jan. 3 to commemorate this crucial piece of their history.

The open house will consist of tours with Freddie the Fire Truck and a reception with food and drinks. Retired Captain Mike Van Wey will give a presentation at 2 p.m.

Please join the Muscatine Fire Department to learn more about their history and to celebrate the last 100 years of the department.

As we experience more winter weather in Muscatine, it's a good idea to be prepared. You may have questions about where to park during a Snow Emergency, so we have blog post that gives you all the details. The City takes your safety seriously, which is why we care about properly clearing the roads. We appreciate your consideration and understanding when a Snow Emergency goes into effect. Your help with moving vehicles to the correct side of the street allows us to more efficiently clear them.
