WHAT'S GROWIN' ON?

Night for the Museum
February 20th, 6:30 to 9:00 pm

Will we see you at Night for the Museum? Put on your blue jeans and a favorite pair of boots and join us for this Museum fundraiser! We will have a delicious BBQ dinner catered by Hickory Hollow, a silent auction, along with a live auction. Some of the auction items include a week's stay at a Bradenton Beach condo, Disney park-hopper passes, photographic prints, original acrylic and oil paintings, landscape trees, a cigar sampler, catered dinners, and lots more. It promises to be a fun evening and we hope to see you there! Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased online at Eventbrite or at the Ag Museum. Funds raised will support our educational programming, unique exhibits and events, the purchase of archival and exhibit supplies, restoration/preservation of artifacts and equipment, and converting our lighting to LED. We appreciate your support!

Special thanks to our Event Partner: West Coast Tomato, McClure Family Farms, & Mrs. Corrine McClure.

Curator's Corner

With the close to our seasonal events for the holidays there are now a few more hours in the day for curatorial work. We have acquired a very unusual new artifact, a Crosley Farm-O-Road. We are very excited to be able to make this item a focal point in a multi-site exhibition featuring Powel Crosley's inventions. The exhibit is slated to open in late spring early summer of 2016.

Volunteer Needs:

During Christmas in the Park we hosted Real Rail Sugarcreekers Model Railroaders with their trains. On the first night of the event, Ramiro commented on an empty space in the middle of their display and said it needed a parking lot. The guys invited him back the next day to build his creation for the train layout. Thank you to the Real Rail Sugarcreekers Model Railroaders for investing in Ramiro. He did a great job!
