Looking Glass Views
An Artist's Newsletter - 3rd Edition, January 2016
I wish you a Happy New Year and all the excitement of a chance at New Beginnings!
As the winter blues do battle with wet weather trends, there couldn't be a better time to cozy away in the Making Room and get some serious painting work done. As usual, tiny steps of progress will be posted on social media to keep you updated, but what about coming to see for yourself? Or even better - having a go? Honestly there's nothing like getting the creative energy flowing to welcome spring in a bit early, whether that's by seeking inspiration from the (almost too early) early bulbs or just putting a bit of bounce back in your step by learning new skills.
So get out your diary and let's make a date!
For all students of regularly running art classes, classes will resume the week commencing Monday 18 January.
If you're not yet attending one of my classes, but want to give it a try then note that new students are welcome year round - just drop me an email or give me a ring to sort out your free trial session.
And for anyone interested (seriously, no previous experience required!) I will be running a half day workshop dedicated specifically to the reverse oil on glass painting technique, please see the box below for details.
Also I am now on the official website for the Brighton Artist Open Houses as "an artist seeking a house" - so if you know anyone with a house seeking an artist do put us in touch!
Of course that's not all I'm up to so if you'd like to follow developments in real time then I hope you'll join me on social media - button links are at the bottom to make it easy-peasy, lemon-squeezy ;)
Yours ever, Mx
