Greg Shaw, 2016 NBSMLT President
As we embark down the pathway of 2016, I am very much honored to serve as the NBSMLT president. There is a tradition of strong leadership with our NBSMLT presidents and I hope to continue this ritual. Starting this tenure, I look at all of the positive changes that have come to fruition over the past few years. The NBSMLT board will continue to work hard to help serve the MLT community within our province. The board met on January 5th to discuss strategic priorities for 2016. We are eager to improve procedures and streamline process to ensure we are fiscally responsible with the membership’s hard earned money. We dedicate 2016 as the year of working smarter with our societies time and money.

- AGM: Voting members approved a slight dues increase to maintain fiscal responsibility during impending declined membership for 2017/2018
- 2016 Budget was approved by the Board
- Past paper registration records to be stored at Provincial Archives

- Anne Lagacé elected Edmundston Area Director by the academy

- Janet Reid (Saint John) gave a presentation on management at LABCON2016.
- Heather Kyle ( Saint John) gave a presentation to NBCCSJ to MLA & MLT students and on Lab Utilization at APSC
- Tiffany Clouston (Saint John) did a presentation on "A Day in the Life of an MLT" to MLT&MLA students at NBCCSJ
- Janelle Bourgeois (Moncton) gave a presentation on the history of the bridging program project at the Atlantic Connections conference.
- Hélène Cadinot (Moncton) gave a presentation on the experience of an Internationally Educated MLT at the Atlantic Connections conference
- Joe Costello (F'cton)participated in a career fair at Montgomery Elementary school and was mentioned in the CJMLS.
- Greg Shaw (Fredericton) gave a presentation at APSC on his overseas experience as a lab manager
- Paula Steeves represented the NBSMLT on a provincial forum on Foreign Qualification Recognition and the Atlantic Connections conference, related to the NBSMLT Bridging program project, as well as gave a presentation on regulation to MLT & MLA students from NBCCSJ & Oulton.
- Justin Carthart gave a presentation in histology at a Moncton Academy Education session

Le coup du marteau
Greg Shaw, Président ATLMNB 2016
Alors que nous entrons dans le sentier de l'année 2016 , je suis très honoré de servir en tant que président ATLMNB . Il ya une tradition de leadership fort avec nos présidents de ATLMNB et je l'espère, de continuer ce rituel . À partir de ce mandat, je regarde tous les changements positifs qui ont porté leurs fruits au cours des dernières années . Le conseil ATLMNB va continuer à travailler dur pour aider à servir la communauté MLT au sein de notre province. Le conseil d'administration s'est réuni le 5 Janvier pour discuter des priorités stratégiques pour 2016. Nous sommes impatients d' améliorer les procédures et le processus de rationaliser pour s' assurer que nous sommes financièrement responsable avec l'argent durement gagné de l' adhésion. Nous dédions 2016 comme l'année d'une gestion plus intelligente du temps et de l'argent de notre association.

Points forts: réunion du conseil
- AGA: Les membres votants ont approuvé une légère hausse aux frais d'immatriculation pour 2016/2017 afin de maintenir l'intégrité financière de l'ATLMNB parallèle à la pénurie prévue de TLMs.
- Le budget 2016 a été approuvé par le conseil
- Toutes copies papier d'immatriculation précédentes seront conservées par les archives du NB
