The Wondrous Law of Human Unity

"Just as the law of gravitation existed before its discovery—and would exist if all humanity forgot it—so is it with the laws that govern the spiritual relations between soul and soul and between individual spirits.”

Swami Vivekananda's yogic words are a beacon on the illusion of separation: We may at times forget our unity, but it's nevertheless there, as real as the binding force of gravity.

Nonviolence is the foundational principle in yoga, yet it tends to go untaught in Western classes. As a yoga teacher and practitioner, I'm therefore thrilled that the Metta Center is bringing the power of nonviolence to yoga.

For example, our Person Power Yoga Retreat in early April is open to anyone seeking deeper healing and true peace (no previous experience with yoga and meditation is required). This weekend retreat is wheelchair-friendly and even includes special activities for kids. We hope you can join us!

Here's to our human unity,
Kimberlyn David, Director of Communications

Peace Paradigm Radio

Two special guests from Palestine joined us on Peace Paradigm Radio to discuss what it means to be Palestinian, past and present. Therese Mughannam, of North Coast Coalition for Palestine, and cultural historian Amin Kalaf speak about belonging and dispossession.

Discover their amazing stories, then hear some Nonviolence in the News.
