Music school students join 'Youth Makes Music' concert line-up

Students with North Weald-based Goodman's Music School are the latest musicians to be added to the programme for the Rotary Club of Epping's 'Youth Makes Music' concert.

Hannah-Mae Duggan, 14, will sing 'Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again' by Andrew Lloyd Webber while Orin Daniel, 12, will sing 'This is The Moment' (Bricusse and Wildhorn).

Piano pieces will be performed by Chhaya Hetal Shah, 14 (Pirates of the Caribbean, Klaus Badelt) and Daniel Antat, nine (Stormy Coast, Walter Carroll).

Joel Goodman said: "I am delighted that the Epping Rotary Club has invited my pupils to participate in the prestigious biennial musical event.

"I try to be involved with all local musical events that arise as it is great experience for my pupils. Most recently my choir pupils were involved with the Epping Christmas Market."

He added: "The Youth Makes Music concert is a great opportunity for my soloists to perform on piano and to sing in the wonderful setting of St John’s Church.

Also taking part will be children from Ivy Chimneys Primary School, Epping; Epping Primary School, Theydon Bois Primary School, Epping St John's School, High Ongar Primary School and Holy Cross School, Harlow.

The 12th Rotary Club of Epping 'Youth Makes Music' concert is at St John's Church, St John's Road, Epping, at 7pm on Saturday, February 13.

Mike Morgan, chairman of the Rotary Club of Epping's Youth and Vocational Service Committee, said: "We are delighted to stage the Youth Makes Music concert again this year.

"It is a wonderful opportunity for the local community, its children and schools, to showcase their musical talents before before an audience."

Admission is by programme (£2 for adults), which can be purchased on the night.
