World View Introduces North Carolina Educators to Ecuador

When Antonio Wilkins was recognized as the 2014-15 Principal of the Year by the Public Schools of Robeson County, he was awarded a chance to trade, for a few weeks, the sand hills and swamps of Robeson for the islands and highlands of Ecuador. The trip was not a vacation, though — Wilkins was joined by educators from across the state for an immersive study visit organized by World View.

"Ten of my students spent two days in Washington, D.C., engaging with Israeli and Palestinian diplomats, advocacy groups, congressional staff and policy makers. They left with a better understanding of the mechanisms behind lobbying on foreign policy issues and the importance of developing strong professional networks."
