The Scottish folk group Taliska performed at the Yarrawonga Mulwala Visitors Information Centre on Saturday 5th December to an appreciative audience.
The group comprising Angus Downing on fiddle, Geoff Jones on pipes, whistles and bodgran, Claire Patti vocals and harp, french horn, and piano accordion, Louise Godwin cello and Marcus de Rijk vocals and guitar.
Taliska captivated the audience with the much loved Scotish music through soaring songs and airs, and then enthusiastically roared to life with sprightly, foot-tapping jigs and reels.
MAC Inc. thanks the Yarrawonga Mulwala Visitors Information Centre for their support.
Taliska is a forerunner of the Cafe Culture series to be presented in 2016 by MAC Inc.

Romeo & Juliet
MAC Inc. is proud to welcome the New Year with this professional production of Romeo & Juliet.
On Sunday February 7th 2016 at 7pm Moira Arts and Culture Inc. (MAC INC) will host the Essential Theatre Company’s production of Romeo and Juliet on the sands of the Murray River at Cobram’s Thompsons beach ( Kennedy Park). Experience Shakespeare as you have never before against the backdrop of the Mighty Murray.
The dynamic creative team is being led by director Mark Wilson and designer Chloe Greaves, and together they will deliver a fresh take on this much loved classic.
It will be a truthful, fast paced and energetic production. You will be laughing out loud at the antics of the ever amusing Nurse, dazzled by the charm of Mercutio, and left with your heart throbbing as the final scenes unfold.
Romeo and Juliet is a deeply moving play, and has been retold for centuries across the globe. The themes of forbidden love, family rivalry, revenge and fate still ripple through contemporary crowds.
Under the setting sun, Essential Theatre will transform Thompsons Beach into the feuding streets of Verona. You are invited to join this timeless tale and be whisked away by the innocent love of these star crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet.
Essential Theatre is celebrating 14 years of Shakespeare in the Vines with Romeo and Juliet.
This is a unique tour of Shakespeare's classics to some of Australia's most spectacular wineries and gardens. This program has grown from strength to strength since 2003, ensuring the longevity of an ambitious and entrepreneurial Victorian theatre company.

Justine Clarke
MAC Inc. is excited to bring this talented performer to Moira Shire.
Justine Clarke is an Australian actress, singer and television host. She has been acting since the age of seven and has appeared in some of Australia’s best-known TV shows. She is also a film and stage actor, and won the Best Actress Award at the Mar del Plata International Film Festival in Argentina in 2006 for her role in independent film Look Both Ways.
A popular children's entertainer and presenter on the landmark children's television program Play School, Clarke has releases albums and DVDs of Children's music through ABC Music. Titles include I Like to Sing, Songs to Make You Smile, Great Big World, Pyjama Jam! & the ARIA Award winning A Little Day Out With Justine Clarke.[5]

SHOWCASING NUMURKAH & DISTRICT
On Thursday 17th March everything that the Numurkah District has to offer will again be showcased in the Numurkah Town Hall.
Numurkah Rotary has offered to run a BBQ and the Numurkah Town Band will provide musical entertainment. Short presentations from local groups are a possibility, but the main activity will be mingling and meeting people. Something should be available on the night for everyone, including children.
This project was instigated in response to the number of new residents, "old" residents, and those with changed circumstances, who need to know just how much the Numurkah area has to offer.
There are nearly a hundred clubs, groups and organisations in the area. What a spectacle if everyone comes!

The Moira Harmony Festival is the core multicultural celebration within the Moira Shire for Cultural Diversity Week that celebrates the rich and diverse cultures in the shire. The event aims to promote mutual respect, awareness and understanding of cultural diversity and at the same time foster a sense of belonging and encourage cultural exchanges amongst members of the Moira community.
Featuring multicultural performances, multicultural food stalls, arts and cultural activities for kids and families and a whole range of exhibitions including mini police cars, soccer and footy clinics, etc.
When: Sunday, 20 March 2015 starting at 11am.
Where: St Joseph’s Primary School, Cobram
Funded by the Moira Shire Council Multicultural Advisory Committee and Moira Arts and Culture Inc. Supported by local service clubs and ethnic groups.

The G.R.A.I.N. Store is excited to announce their latest exhibition.
The exhibition is entitled Nathalia & District 2015 through the lens – and mainly through the Red Gum Courier. It is a visual retrospective of the year that was 2015
With active support from Roland and Tracey at the Red Gum Courier many of the images featured in the newspaper over its 25 issues. Others are images provided by local organisations and community members depicting important milestones or events for their groups, which may have missed the Red Gum.
Typically the New Year is an opportunity for individual reflection. The G.R.A.I.N. Store liked the idea of shared community reflection. And also liked the idea of showing visitors to the district the amazing range of talent and activities that enliven and energise small communities.
A team of keen U3A photographers in conjunction with G.R.A.I.N. Board members chose the images for the exhibition with more than 80 photos on display. They tried to achieve a spread of organisations, activities and localities, whilst profiling some of the stunning photographic images which find their way into every edition.
The exhibition depicts some of the visual highlights and activities in the district over the last year

Applications now open for the 2016 Indigenous Ceramic Art Award.
From Monday 4 January, 2016 Shepparton Art Museum will be accepting applications for the Australian Indigenous Ceramic Art Award (ICAA) 2016.
This $20,000 acquisitive prize is open to Indigenous groups and individual artists to propose an exhibition concept to realise at SAM in August 2016. Applications close Tuesday 15 March 2016
