Pastor's Corner

Dear Church Family,

I wanted to update you that very soon Brian Russ and his family will be joining us. Please pray for Brian in the coming weeks as he will be meeting with the Candidates and Credentials Committee of Providence Presbytery for transfer and then he will appear at Presbytery on February 9th. This is all part of the process outlined in our Book of Church Order (21) when a pastor transfers from another presbytery in our denomination. Although this process is not as stressful as ordination, Brian still needs our prayers as he completes this process.

I want to tell you a little about Brian's role and responsibilities at Cornerstone. As an ordained pastor, Brian will be assisting me with general pastoral duties at the church. He will preach for me from time to time, assist in worship and help shepherding. More specifically, Brian will serve as the Family Pastor. In this role, he will oversee ministry to children, students and parents. Additionally, he will serve alongside Mike King and our future Children's Ministry Coordinator as their immediate supervisor. Brian has been given all these responsibilities by the Session and is eager to get to work to help us mature and grow as a church body.

No one is more ready for Brian to get here than me. We have know each other since college when we worked at Alpine Camp for Boys. He is a godly and faithful pastor. Let's do all we can to give Brian, Audrey, Eowen, Leah, Allison and William a warm Cornerstone welcome.

Looking forward to worshipping with you on this Lord's Day!

Your pastor,

Wilson
