Wednesday: Attend CB 2 Meeting to Stop Plans to Build on the Garden!

We face a real threat that Elizabeth Street Garden could be razed for development, but we can stop it with your help.

1. Attend the Community Board 2 (CB 2) Working Group on Affordable Housing Development Meeting — Wednesday, Jan. 20, 6:30 p.m.

We can best show our support for the Garden by attending in force from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Wear GREEN.

2. Let us know if you plan to attend the hearing. RSVP here.

3. Share this message with your neighbors and friends, especially those who live in the neighborhood, via email or social media.

Background: New York City's Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) will present an "intended process and timeline for a Request for Proposals (RFP) for an affordable housing development at Elizabeth Street Garden." This RFP process would invite developers to submit proposals for a construction project that would destroy the Garden.
