Mobility & Transportation Reading List
January 08, 2016
Hello! This is the inaugural issue of the Mobility & Transportation Reading List of Startup Digest. I hope to provide you on a weekly basis with a variety of interesting reads and videos about current developments in mobility and transportation. No doubt, this field has already seen some major disruptive startups entering the stage, but also giant players from the IT sector have begun to invest heavily in this area, most notably in autonomous, self-driving car technology. So we will continue to see major changes in the way we move ourselves and goods. This, of course, provides great opportunities for startups to enter the scene and find a niche or hop on one of the bandwagons. The reading list will mostly but not exclusively contain articles and other resources on some of the following topics (in no particular order): - autonomous vehicles and other developments in automotive connectivity and technology - e-mobility - shared mobility - public transportation - urban planning and street design - bikes and pedestrians - (big) data in the field of transportation - drones - ...
Have fun reading! Timo
