It's a boy!

Congratulations to Jackie Deschenes, her husband Mike and proud big brother Jackson on the safe arrival of Wesley James Wood. Born Monday January 4th and weighing 10lbs 1oz.  The growing family is doing very well!
Long track skaters who want to qualify for a position on Team Ontario for the Canadian Age Class Long Track Championships in Ste. Foy, Québec on February 6-7, 2016 need to make themselves known to OSSA no later than Wednesday, January 13th at 3:00pm. By submitting your name, you are confirming intent to race should you be named to Team Ontario. Click here for further information. 
 
Thinking of attending the Ontario Coaches Conference in Niagara Falls February 19-21, 2016?  Well so is Ottawa coach Jesse Pauley and he is keen to hear from other OSSA coaches that plan to attend. A group discount is available if 5 or more coaches attend. Contact Jesse before February 8th to reserve your spot.
 
 
Canadian Junior LT Championships / Canada Cup #3 to be held in Winnipeg February 5-7, 2016. To register for this event or to view the announcement please click here. Mike Rivet (Gloucester) will be the OSSA designated coach at this event. 
Mark it on your calendars—the 4th annual Atlantic Coaches Conference will be held at St. Mary’s University (Sobey School of Business building) in Halifax, Nova Scotia on April 22-23, 2016.
 
“Coaching with an Edge” captures the energy and expertise encompassed by a terrific line-up of coaching, sport leadership, and mental training professionals. This year’s opening keynote will be 14-time Women’s Athletics Paralympic Gold Medalist, Chantal Petitclerc.
