So does January feel like a 'fresh start' to you too? I hope so! I'm clearing out some works-in-progress and on Saturday actually began a project with no purpose and no deadline - just something I've had in my mind to dabble with. That is one of my goals this year . . . create for the joy of creating. It feels good!

WHAT'S UP

After a few queries about quilt math recently, I rounded up some terrific tutorials from around the web. If you find quilt math pesky in the least, hopefully you'll find some help here.

WORTH A READ

ROUND-UP

The feature this issue is equilateral triangle quilts! Since the 'block' is basically the same in each quilt, I'll keep the narrative to a minimum, and let you discover for yourself the variances in use of color, 'negative space', composition, and fabric type. Enjoy!

P.S. If you're interested in making a triangle quilt of your own, check out How to Cut Equilateral Triangles and How to Sew Equilateral Triangles, both by Adrianne/On the Windy Side. Plus there's a magical Equilateral Triangle Quilt Calculator by Yvonne/Quilting Jetgirl. And just for fun, I've created an Equilateral Triangles pin board full of more inspiration. Go for it!
