Did You Know...that you could see your smiling face on our chairs??

For $1500, you, your family, business or organization can buy a chair and advertise or put your name on the back of it. See our Get a Grip campaign for all the details.

What a great start to the season! Opening day and the entire Christmas season was a huge success this year. Thanks to all the staff and guests that made this happen. We also donated xxx lbs of food to the Terrace food bank thanks to our free ski day on January 1.
Monday, February 8 is Family Day! Bring everyone - the kids, grandma, the whole family! Lift tickets will be 50% off, we'll have a band and a fire pit by the toboggan hill.
Canadian Ski Patrol celebrates 40 years

The volunteer ski patrol team is celebrating 40 years of public service in northwest BC and 25 years at Shames Mountain during Canadian Ski Patrol Day on February 6.

Please join the celebration by getting to know the folks that help keep you safe and healthy during outdoor play, enjoying some birthday cake and checking out some of our rescue and safety equipment in the base area.
Ski Patrol Safety Message

Low snowpack conditions means that natural mountain terrain features such as berry bushes, tree stumps, creeks and rocks may not be completely covered with snow.  Riding over these features could damage your gear, cause you to fall, or result in injury.

To help avoid near these natural features and be safe around them, always ride in control with a partner, stay clear of gully bottoms or natural hazards marked by rope or bamboo poles, and carry a whistle that can be used to get help and direct people to your location.
Cool Pass: Rewarding your safe behavior on the slopes

Are you a youth that skis or rides with a partner, looks uphill before merging onto a new trail and has a whistle on your jacket?  If so, these and other observed safe behaviours could earn you a Cool Pass handed out by a ski patroller.

Recipients of a Cool Pass can register their name online in a draw to win a GoPro camera!  Personal information collected will only be used to administer the free draw and confirm one entry per person.
