Yuthok Nyinthik Long Life Empowerment

Yuthok Nyingthik is the spiritual practice of Traditional Tibetan Medicine. It contains a complete path of Vajrayana Buddhist teachings, including various methods of meditation and yogic practices. Its practices are also used by healing practitioners in order to enhance their diagnostic intuition and healing abilities.
The Yuthok Nyingthik also includes a unique long-life empowerment and practice, which are beneficial in eliminating negative energies causing disease which shorten the lifespan. The longevity practice includes a technique called ‘hooking back the vital life force,’ utilizing meditative visualization, chanting mantras and ritual.
In this one day program, Dr Nida will bestow the Yuthok Nyingthik long-life empowerment, which helps to heal karmic diseases and prolong the lifespan. He will also give instructions on the Yuthok Nyingthik Long-life meditation practice, which can be done as a daily practice as well as in an intensive seven day retreat individually or in a group. After completing the personal retreat, it is also possible to use this practice to help others.

Thursday 11th February
Phowa Practice

One of the six yogas of the Yuthok Nyingthik. A practice on how to die in peace for the final spiritual journey, opening the pathway to transference of consciousness as liberation without meditation.
In that exalted state, death is transformed. The practice of Phowa assures one that the transference will not lead to helplessly drifting after death. Phowa gives spiritual certainty at the time of death and severs the fear of dying and allows us to live.
9.30am - 5.00pm
Cost $100

Friday 12th February
Bardo Practice

One of the six yogas of the Yuthok Nyingthik and a companion practice to the Phowa.
Bardo Yoga is one of the advanced practices of the Six Yogas to be found in Vajrayana Buddhism. During the course, the experiences of life, death and what happens after death are described and analyzed.
The teaching includes transmission, explanations and exercises.
Through the practice of Bardo Yoga one learns to face
life and death with inner peace, being aware of the great potential during the bardo after death. Skill and yogic experience hold the opportunity of achieving enlightenment and choosing the next rebirth.

Cost $100

Friday 12th February
Public Talk
Tibetan Medicine and Buddhism

Dr. Nida will explain the connection between Buddhism and Tibetan medicine, and his specific program, as follows:

According to Traditional Tibetan Medicine, spiritual practice should be a part of healing; it has a great value in healing and balancing mind and energy. This is an important philosophical and psychological point of view. Each of the ancient oriental medical traditions has their background rooted in a different philosophy: Traditional Chinese Medicine is linked with Taoism, Ayurveda is connected with Hinduism, and traditional Tibetan Medicine’s spiritual path is Buddhism.”
