Wellspring seeks a diligent and client-focused professional to join our team as a client lead and data analyst for supporting our client implementation process. Your main responsibility will be to manage data and processes to ensure the smooth transitioning of client data during our international enterprise software implementations. You will collaborate with clients and internal client support staff during each project. This position is ideal for quick learners, great communications, and those with some interest in or experience with analyzing data.

Specific roles and responsibilities:

• Bilingual Communication: Translate information between Japanese and English and communicate effectively in both languages.
• Data Management: Work with existing client data to ensure smooth transition during system implementation. Support and directly engage in data translation and mapping of the data into the Wellspring system.
• Solution Consulting: Transform client use cases and needs into specification for the software configuration. Present and explain software usage.

 Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher preferred
• Exceptional interpersonal/client-management skills
• Fluency in both spoken and written Japanese and English
• Ability to clearly communicate and present information to client groups
• Interest or experience as a solution consultant, data analyst, or software project manager
• Some experience with Excel or other data management tools

Postgraduate Program

INTERNATIONAL MASTERS PROGRAM IN JAPANESE HUMANITIES - KYUSHU UNIVERSITY

The recruitment is as follows:

Kyushu University is offering the International Master's Program (IMAP) in Japanese Humanities in the Graduate School of Humanities. The application deadline is March 25, 2016. Applicants will be interviewed in April and notifies of acceptance by the end of June. Successful applicants will commence studies in October 2016.

2016 will be our sixth year, and we are pleased to note that, thus far, all our graduates have either found employment or have opted to pursue a doctoral degree or additional MA degree in the United States, in Europe, or in Japan.

Applicant profiles and interests are diverse, and students have come to the program from Europe; North, South and Central America; North Africa; and Asia (including Japanese nationals). Candidates with an undergraduate degree (BA) who seek a graduate degree (MA) in one or more subjects within the Japanese humanities, or candidates who already hold an MA but who desires further training to strengthen or broaden their profile are welcome to apply. Although there is no formal Japanese-language requirement, a minimum of two years of college-level Japanese is strongly recommended as Japanese-langauge materials are typically used in seminars.

The IMAP in Japanese Humanities is unique in that it offers numerous graduate-level courses, primarily seminars, in English within a graduate school with a full roster of courses taught in Japanese. The IMAP program is characterized by closely supervised instruction and small, rigorous seminars customized to meet the long-term academic goals of each student. The program features the study of Japan under specialists in Japanese history, art history and visual culture, premodern languages, religion, geography, and other facets of the humanities. There are also courses in field-specific methodologies and research methods. Many courses incorporate study at cultural and historical sites. For example, the first semester includes a mandatory intensive course that culminates in a week-long field trip to the Kansai area, and there are day trips to cultural and historical sites in Kyushu throughout the year. In addition to core curriculum and elective courses offered by the IMAP program, students may register for Japanese- or English-taught courses across Kyushu University starting in their second semester. Students generally complete the MA in two years after writing a thesis in English under the guidance of an academic advisor.

During the 2016-17 academic year IMAP courses are taught by core faculty Cynthea J. Bogel and Ellen Van Goethem and visiting faculty Judith N. Rabinovitch, Elisabetta Porcu, and Yan Yang. This array of experienced Japan specialists offers many opportunities for students to explore and prosper. As noted, students may also enroll in other departments' courses university-wide.

We invite submission of abstracts for paper presentations and poster presentations on topics including, but not limited to, Japanese linguistics, Japanese language pedagogy, Japanese as a heritage language, as well as innovative teaching techniques. Submissions related to the conference theme are especially welcome. The allocated time for each presentation is 30 minutes (20 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for discussion), and posters will be presented in a 90-minute poster session. Presentations may be given in either Japanese, English or French.

Individuals may submit only one proposal as presenters or co-presenters. Presenters, including co-presenters, must be members of CAJLE.
