Since our last e-newsletter went out in December we had a busy end to 2015 and start to 2016 with lots of people getting in touch with us to enquire and to book onto our trips in the Himalaya and Karakoram. I am delighted to report most of our 2016 western led treks are now guaranteed to run and at the moment there is availability for all of these departures.
The photo above was taken on our Ladakh Sky Trail led by Almas Khan every year in August/ September. This is the view looking back to the starting point of the trek at the dramatic Lamayuru monastery perched on sandstone eroded cliffs. This unique itinerary was designed by Almas after his many years of guiding and leading treks in Ladakh. This is his dream trek travelling through the best scenery and landscape of Ladakh, Zanskar and Changthang regions in northern India.
Over the Summer we have all of our treks in Pakistan now guaranteed to run starting with Snow Lake via Hispar La in mid July followed by K2 Base Camp & Concordia and K2 & Gondogoro La treks in late July into August. As mentioned above in late Summer we are also planning to organise Ladakh Sky Trail, this trek is nearly guaranteed and we just need a few more bookings in order to run this trip.
As ever please get in contact if you have any questions or require further information on any of our trips to the Himalaya and Karakoram. Trek on!

A Trekking Guide to Upper and Lower Mustang
This excellent guidebook about trekking in Mustang region of Nepal was written recently by Sian Pritchard-Jones and Bob Gibbons. Upper Mustang is located north of Annapurna and is geologically and culturally part of the Tibetan plateau. The valleys are arid and dry with colourful rock formations containing many cave dwellings high up in the cliffs.
If you are interested in visiting in Upper Mustang please take a look at our Upper Mustang Hidden Kingdom trek. We have carefully designed this itinerary to explore the quieter areas and in most places stays away from the new road. We approach Lo Manthang on the west side of the Kali Gandaki and descend on the less visited east side of this valley
