There is no doubt that caring for a person with Alzheimer's disease can be frustrating and difficult. But it can also be rewarding. Solving problems and becoming confident in knowing how to give care can provide you with a great sense of satisfaction. We are learning more and more about how to provide good care for the person with Alzheimer's disease day to day -- and still take care of yourself. Much of what we know comes from the experience of family and professional caregivers. Together, we are all learning how to deal with the challenges of this disease. Read more>

Il ne fait aucun doute qu’il est souvent frustrant et difficile de prendre soin d’une personne atteinte de la maladie d’Alzheimer. Mais cela peut également être très gratifiant. Trouver des solutions aux problèmes et prendre confiance en soi-même à titre d’aidant peuvent apporter beaucoup de satisfaction. Nous en apprenons toujours davantage sur les meilleurs moyens de donner des soins aux personnes atteintes de la maladie d’Alzheimer, tout en préservant le bien-être de l’aidant. Nos connaissances nous ont été transmises en grande partie par les familles aidantes et les professionnels des soins de santé.
