Licking County awards $17,500 to local breast cancer patients
1/25/2016 LICKING COUNTY, OHIO – The Licking County Health Department’s Screening and Survivor Support (SASS) for Breast Cancer program awarded $17,500.00 in stipends during 2015 to residents who are actively undergoing treatment for breast cancer.
 
The SASS stipends are made possible through the support of funds donated to the Public Health Partnership (PHP) of Licking County by individuals and organizations. The total amount of stipends distributed to Licking County breast cancer patients is based on availability of funds. If you would like to make a donation, visit www.phplc.org.
 
To be eligible for the stipend:
  • you must be a Licking County resident,
  • who is actively undergoing treatment for breast cancer during the current calendar year,
  • and not have received SASS funds exceeding $500 during the current calendar year or $1,000 during the past five years.
