REUSE! Film Screenings

The film screenings of REUSE! Because You Can't Recycle The Planet at the University of Minnesota and Southdale AMC were awesome. They allowed ReUSE MN to partner with Alex Eaves to spread the word about how reuse is both beneficial and necessary. The Q&A following the film allowed viewers to exchange useful reuse information with one another and receive information about local reuse businesses like Repair Lair and Piccadilly Prairie.  Special thanks to everyone for helping to make these events successful.

Digital Right To Repair Bill

Manufacturers often make it hard (or impossible) to get parts and repair manuals -- so you lose the ability to repair your own electronics and Minnesota loses the potential for growth of small independent repair shops. It happened with TV's and TV repair shops in the 1990's. ReUSE MN is fighting back. In Minnesota, we have the chance to pass a Digital Right to Repair law this year that would make parts, software patches, firmware and manuals available.  If you want the right to fix what you own and want our local small repair businesses to be there to help when your warranty runs out, send a letter now!  It's easy and quick.

The Impact of Reuse

We all know the benefits of reuse, but how do we quantify those benefits?  This question and more are answered in Sustainable Consumption and Cities. You can access this document at the link below:

“Did you know?”

Did you know that it is perfectly legal to take your own container to restaurants for bringing home leftovers? Be a trendsetter and try it!

Please consider including ReUSE Minnesota in your end of year giving. It is your generous support, along with others like you that enables the impactful work that we do.

As the year comes to a close, we would like to thank everyone for their continued support of our organization.

See you in
2016!
