Final Exam Schedule Is Live

Final Examination days and times have been posted to your myNEU account under your class schedule.  Final examinations will start on Friday, April 22, 2016, and resume for the week of April 25th through April 29, 2016.  Please review your final examinations for any potential conflicts.  The two approved final examination conflicts are two final examinations scheduled at the same time or three examinations scheduled in one day.  The deadline for completing and turning in a Final Exam Conflict Form is February 5, 2015.  Please fill out a Final Exam Conflict Form, with your final examination schedule attached, and drop off the form and attachment to our office at the following location:

Office of the University Registrar
271 Huntington Avenue

You can also attach both documents to an e-mail and send to scheduling@neu.edu.  Please put “Final Exam Conflict Form” in the subject line.  You can find the Final Exam Conflict Form at the following link:
http://www.northeastern.edu/registrar/form-finex-conflict.pdf
All forms will be reviewed after February 5, 2015, and if it is determined that there is a conflict, your form will be processed and held for pick-up at the front desk at 271 Huntington Avenue. You will then present the completed form to your professor to make arrangements for a make-up examination.  You will be notified via your Husky e-mail account when your form has been processed.  Just a reminder, the deadline for completing and turning in the form is February 5, 2015.

PRSA of America at Boston University's 2016 Regional Conference: PRAdvanced

The Public Relations Student Society of America at Boston University is pleased to invite you to our 2016 Regional Conference. This year’s conference PRAdvanced: Tune In! takes place on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the new Sumner M. Redstone Law Building on BU’s campus, a first for our regional conferences.

PRAdvanced: Tune In! is going back to basics, exploring the fundamental communication principle—listen first and talk second— by examining the shift from outbound to inbound communication where listening and understanding come first. Speakers and attendees will discuss the evolving process of listening to clients and their audiences to create stand-out content.

For this year’s conference, we have Sarah Unger, Director of Marketing Strategy at Viacom presenting as our keynote speaker. As a former VP at Ketchum and current executive for a company revolutionizing audience engagement across all its entertainment brands, Sarah will provide plenty of insight on what it really means to “tune in.” Additionally, we are offering a variety of breakout sessions with a few of the topics being Social Monitoring Technology, Community Management, and Targeting Millennials.

Our Career Fair at the conclusion of the day is the perfect opportunity to learn about the industry and internship opportunities from companies like Burson-Marsteller, LEWIS PR, Situation Interactive, GlossyBox, Ketchum, Marina Maher Communications, and Weber Shandwick.

As part of our community service initiative we have recently partnered with the non-profit Music & Memory to host an iDrive or iPod, iPhone, iPad drive to aid their mission of bringing personalized playlists to aid patients with various cognitive and physical disabilities through a unique form of music therapy. So bring your old iPods, iPhones, iPads, chargers, or even an iTunes gift card to help us assist this special organization’s efforts.

For more details on breakout sessions and speakers, you can visit http://www.PRAdvanced.com which we will continue to update with new information leading up to the event. Now through January 30th you can enter the promotional code TUNEIN to receive $15 off of registration cost. Feel free to contact us with any questions or comments.
