Beyond the Breach: Tales  from a Whale Research Pioneer, will be held in the Haleakala Ballroom at the Westin Maui in Kaanapali. 

Greg will also be signing copies of his latest book Hawaii's Humpback Whales: The Ultimate Guide -- available for sale at the event or bring your own copy! 
Featuring over 100 full-color photos and illustrations, this book is a must-have for whale lovers and whalewatching enthusiasts of all ages.

About the Speaker & Author:
Greg Kaufman is the author of numerous books, scientific papers, and popular publications on cetaceans. A pioneer in non-invasive humpback whale research, Greg founded Pacific Whale Foundation in 1980 and committed his new organization to educating the public, from a scientific perspective, about whales and their ocean habitat. Greg oversees the longest running humpback whale research program off Australia (started in 1984) and Ecuador.
Greg is a world leader in addressing whale protection issues, has pioneered responsible dolphin and whalewatching programs throughout the Pacific, and is widely acknowledged as an innovatorin marine ecotourism.
