Three of Headway Arts’ talented performers are taking to the stage at Live Theatre next month in Always the Bridesmaid.
Always the Bridesmaid is a unique Headway Arts and Live Theatre co-production. Written by Olivier Award winning Mike Kenny and designed and directed by Headway Arts Creative Director Allie Walton Robson, Always the Bridesmaid is a comedy-drama that looks at who gets to be the star of the show and why.
Allie says, “We're delighted to have been able to commission the wonderful Mike Kenny who has written this challenging but funny piece especially for us. It’s also great to be performing at Live Theatre working with their amazing youth theatre. It is exactly the kind of platform we aimed to create with our New Worlds project - enabling us to put the work of learning disabled artists centre stage.
